Dear Friends of Fisher House Southern California,

We are deeply grateful to Linda Rahn for nearly four years of dedicated service as our Executive Director. Linda’s tireless efforts to increase support for Fisher House Southern California built a foundation that has developed long-lasting relationships with individuals and organizations, significantly increasing our presence and ability to support the military families we serve. We wish her a joyful and fulfilling retirement.

As we bid farewell to Linda, it is with great enthusiasm that I share an exciting update with you.

We are proud to announce Hilary Zappin as our new Executive Director. With over 16 years of triumphant fundraising experience and holding the esteemed Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification, Hilary brings a wealth of expertise, dedication, and leadership to our organization.

Hilary’s journey, enriched by experiences such as managing premier musicians like Bob Dylan and Aerosmith, has instilled in her a rare blend of grit and grace. Her life’s path has fueled her passion for making a difference, a passion that now drives her commitment to serving our military families.

This September, Hilary will earn an LLM in International Business & Corporate Law to be conferred by the esteemed Rome Business School and the University of Valencia. Her unwavering dedication to learning, coupled with her diverse expertise, positions her as an invaluable asset to our organization and the communities we serve.

In Hilary’s own words: “I am deeply honored and invigorated to step into the role of Executive Director at Fisher House Southern California. My life’s journey has equipped me with a deep sense of resilience and compassion, which I am eager to channel into serving our military families with unwavering commitment.”

As we embark on this new chapter, we stand united in our mission to provide a ‘home away from home’ for our military families during their time of need. Together, we will move mountains and create lasting change that reverberates through generations.

Thank you for your steadfast support and friendship.
